Welcome to my music reviews page!
Here I will be rating and sharing some of my favorite albums.
Many albums I'm still working on writing my reviews for, so please be patient while I work on populating this page!
I have a pretty unusual taste in music lol so don't expect to see many popular or recognizable albums here.

heartstrings
lexycat
Music doesn't get any better than this.
I've said it a million times before and I'll say it again: nobody does it like Lexycat.
Heartstrings is very hard to define by genre, but I would probably call it a mix between shoegaze, hypermetal, rock, and hardcore electronic music.
This album is all around incredible, and the production quality is absolutely amazing.
You can immediately tell that it's a super heartfelt production while still maintiaining such an awesome sound.
Lexycat is such a brilliant musician and artist, and Heartstrings is a beautiful example of that.
The amount of creative genius and musical talent that went into this album is genuinely so unbelievable and I can't even begin to explain how much of an inspiration this album is to me.
I really get so stunned listening to these songs because it's a sound that you can't find anywhere else.
Lexy's style in this album is so incredibly beautiful and unique, and it's something that no other artist could ever replicate.
Overall such a brilliant amazing phenomenal incredible album that stands alone in its creativity.
Every single song on this album is brilliant, but I wanted to write a bit about a couple of my absolute favorites.
Joplin is such an awesome song dude.
All the way through it's just so relentlessly badass.
The instrumentation is so raw and emotional but also so polished at the same time, and the vocals are so seamlessly integrated into it.
Listening to this song is genuinely just so thrilling, and I love it so goddamn much.
One thing this song does so amazingly brilliantly well is worldbuilding.
The intro especially has such an immaculate vibe that perfectly sets a scene in front of you.
I personally imagine a warm summer evening in the American midwest just after sunset, sitting on a rocking chair on the front porch of an old farmhouse, and breathing in the damp air just before a terrible storm rolls in.
All this is communicated so subtly but so beautifully in just 48 seconds of audio with not a single line of dialogue.
It's just so brilliantly executed and it's so incredible how it lays out such a clear scene in a way that no other song does.
Joplin will forever be one of the greatest pieces of music ever written and I completely mean that.
Bunny is unique among the rest of the songs in the album in its relative simplicity and completely different style, but it is just is so beautiful and emotional.
Every time I hear those damn chords it hits straight into my soul.
I'll admit that I've cried to this song before, but it just speaks to me in a way that no other piece of music does.
I can't even begin to express how much pure raw emotion this song has, so I'll let it speak for itself.
I'll keep this paragraph short, but wow this song is just incredible.
Such a perfect song and a perfect finale for (imo) the greatest album ever produced.
I could write so many paragraphs about every single track on this album and how much I love them all, but I would be writing for days.
Besides, you're better off listening to the album yourself and forming your own opinions instead of reading mine.
Heartstrings is a brilliantly crafted masterpiece, and Lexycat is one of the greatest artists to ever live.
Heartstrings changed my life.

New Ancient Strings
Toumani Diabaté, Ballaké Sissoko
New Ancient Strings is a really nice collection of kora duets by the two greatest kora players of their generation.
The melodies in this album are very beautiful and unique, and the whole thing is super calming yet interesting.
The album has a sort of dreamy nostalgic feel to it that I really love.
The whole thing is very well crafted with a type of musical brilliance that you don't often see in western music.
My only complaint with this album is that it can get a bit boring listening to the same single instrument for almost an hour,
though it works very well though as ambient-ish background music, as I find it really helps me concentrate without being a distraction.
Very pleasant album, I strongly recommend you give it a listen if you are able.

Thunder, Lightning, Strike
The Go! Team
I usually am not a big listener of rock type music, but this album has a super cute charm to it that really makes it so fun to listen to every single time.
Super awesome indie feel with a very unique and charming style.
It has the feel of a highschool sports movie in the best way possible.
Overall very fun listen and super energetic and playful.
Strongly recommend if you have the time.

rubyred
This was the first real rap album I ever really liked, and it's partially responsible for getting me into rap music to the extent that I am today.
It was genuinely so shocking to me when I learned that Rubyred was born in 2009.
Their work is super impressive considering their age and that they were only 15 years old when making this album.
Really impressive work and a really awesome vocal style.

Another very solid rap-esque album with a more unique electronic sound.
Really really awesome and underrated album that deserves way more attention.
Again I don't have much to say about this one, but it's definitely worth it to give it a listen.

Dark Blossom
lexycat
Absolutely phenomenal album.
Lexycat's style is always uniquely her own, and this album demonstrates that perfectly.
This album is very beautiful and very hardcore at times.
As well as having a super awesome and intense sound, this album has a really beautiful message about gender and trans identity.
I'm probably not the most qualified person to talk about the subject, so I do strongly recommend you to take a listen yourself and let the music do the talking.
All the way through Dark Blossom is an amazingly creative and awesome album that is a brilliant display of Lexy's consistent musical talent.
You can tell that this album is very heartfelt and emotionally relevant to her, and it's a brilliant way to turn such suffering into an amazing piece of art that never gets old.
I can never state enough just how much of a musical genius Lexycat is.
She is such an inspiration to me, and this album definitely has exemplified that.
She is one of the most talented composers, producers, lyricists, and vocalists of all time, and she shows exactly that in this album among others.
Dark Blossom is just incredible.

bappy
I literally just discovered this album today but honestly it's really damn good.
It has a really cool style that I haven't really seen anywhere else before.
Some tracks remind me a lot of c418, and some remind me a lot of Toby Fox.
Some tracks also have a more unique/original style.
Overall a really cool album with really interesting theming.
You can definitely tell that this whole album is a product of real emotion.

This album has a really awesome vibe and has actually been an inspiration for some songs that I have worked on.
The sound of this album is super cool and weird and experimental but I honestly love it a lot.
It sounds so computery and digital which I really love.

This album has a super beautiful and nostalgic feel.
It really feels like the soundtrack of some old memory.

Kikiyama
This is technically two albums but I am counting it as one because they are both part of the soundtrack of the same game.
When I talk about loving nostalgic/dreamcore music, this is exactly what I mean.
The Yume Nikki soundtrack is genuinely probably the best videogame soundtrack ever created.
Every single song in this soundtrack sounds like it came straight from an old memory or a dream.
Kikiyama is such a brilliant musician, artist, and game developer, and they are such a big inspiration for me.
I could listen to this soundtrack for hours and hours and just get lost in the sounds and feel each song as the fragment of a dream of a place that never existed.
Absolutely incredible.

I don't really know what to call it in terms of genre, but it's seriously just such beautiful incredible work.
Re6ce is one of my favorite musicians ever and one of my all time inspirations, and I think that this is absolutely some of their best work.

bappy
Woah.
This literally just released like an hour ago and it already crushed my expectations.
This is a super super sick album, and Bappy definitely deserves way more hype than they have.
This album is awesome all the way through, and it is a brilliant showcase of pure creative talent.
The production is super nice and Bappy's vocal style is super cool and it is just such an insanely good production.
I don't have a whole lot to say about the album, but god damn is it good.
LISTEN TO THIS IF U FW UNDERGROUND RAP!!!
